“Shocking Invasion Of My Privacy!” Kate Ritchie Slams The Daily Mail

Nova’s Kate Ritchie has slammed The Daily Mail Australia after the online publication posted photos of her entering a mental health facility.

Ritchie took to Instagram to respond to the photos and explained she was seeking professional help, and shared an important message, “You are strong. Asking for help is strength. Getting help is true courage. Everything else is noise. Stay strong.”

Ritchie also condemned the publication. She wrote: “It is a shocking invasion of my privacy that The Daily Mail, through their relentlessly stalking of me, has forced me to issue this public statement in their blatant attempt to publically shame me on a private health matter.”

Currently, Ritchie is on a hiatus from her hit Nova radio show that she co-hosts with Joel Creasy and Tim Blackwell. In her absence, Ricki Lee Coulter has been filling in.

Ritchie released a statement at the time citing a need to rest as the reason she was taking a break. She said: “This past year has been hectic for my family and me. I have had much change, like many of you, in a short space of time, and it has taken its toll.

“So I’ve made the decision to take a short break to have more time for myself and my family to re-energise.”

The break came soon after she was fined for a DUI.

Ritchie is expected to return to her Nova role in 2023.
