Omnicom Media Group’s data-led media agency Hearts & Science has appointed a new CEO to lead its US operations.
Ralph Pardo, previously president of Omnicom’s cross-agency AT&T account, succeeds Erin Matts, who will be moving to another role within Omnicom.
The move comes as Hearts & Science, which has Australian offices in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth, focuses on broader changes affecting the advertising industry globally, such as the rise in streaming video, calls for better policing of content on social platforms and the pandemic’s effect on the economy.
Scott Hagedorn, North America CEO of Omnicom Media Group, commented: “We need intuitive leaders who understand the current big changes and how quickly they’re happening; Ralph is the closest to those changes in the market. He also has a unique business perspective after supporting AT&T during its transition to a media company following its acquisition of Warner Media and advertising technology company AppNexus.”
Jeremy Bolt, CEO of Hearts & Science in Australia, added: “Ralph has been instrumental in some of the thinking around our creative and media proposition, having led the AT&T combined media and creative proposition for a number of years. We are all looking forward to working more closely with him going forward.”
