Queensland outdoor media provider, GOA, have turned heads with their latest campaign in collaboration with Aussie comedy duo, Marty and Michael.

Helping to drive more than 100,000 views an hour on Facebook, Instagram and YouTube, Marty has used GOA’s extensive network of digital billboards to celebrate a milestone in an unconventional fashion with the ultimate prank on Michael.

GOA helped Marty, unbeknownst to Michael, celebrate hitting almost a million followers on Instagram by exhibiting the duo across 14 billboards across Brisbane. A warped, juvenile version of Michael positioned in traffic choke points along with tunnel entries and exits is definitely one way to ‘get noticed’ by millions of commuters and viewers.

Marty Sokolinski said: “I’d been waiting for a reason to get Michael to dress up like an idiot and reaching almost a million followers on Instagram was the perfect cover up. These photos shouldn’t be limited to our followers, so I thought ‘Why not share this with the whole of Brisbane?’”

GOA group sales manager Josh Steel, said: “We’re very pleased to get on board to bring this hilarious vision to life. We’re all about maximising the impact of our billboards and with a sight such as Marty and Michael’s photoshoot, it definitely demands the attention of passer-bys.”

With a total of 50 sites across Brisbane, the GOA GridTM reaches over 1,000,000 people per day in Brisbane, the largest per-day rate of any centralised digital billboard network.
