After more than a decade in senior roles at News Corp, Flight Centre Travel Group, and most recently as chief marketing officer at TripADeal, where he played a key role in its acquisition by Qantas in June 2024, Dwayne Birtles has launched SEAM—a consultancy firm dedicated to helping businesses achieve rapid and sustainable growth.

With a track record of working with Australia’s largest corporate entities, including top media companies and enterprise-level Martech platforms, Birtles brings a wealth of experience in navigating complex business environments and driving results at scale. His hands-on approach with big corporate Australia has honed his ability to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes across diverse industries.

“There’s too much complexity in the market for the sake of it. SEAM is here to cut through the noise and focus on what businesses truly need for scalable, sustainable growth,” said Birtles.

Recognising the current market pressures and cost-benefit challenges faced by businesses, SEAM is designed to offer the expertise of a seasoned, executive-level marketing function, without the need for the full-time commitment or cost of a traditional Chief Marketing Officer. For those curious about the term “Fractional CMO,” there’s a handy link here that explains the concept in detail.

“I’m excited to support businesses looking for a competitive edge—whether they’re market challengers, established brands, or ambitious start-ups focused on rapid expansion,” Dwayne added. SEAM’s specialised services are structured around four key pillars: Strategy, Enablement, Activation, and Measurement. These stages are crucial in helping businesses build, execute, and refine their growth plans with a data-driven, strategic focus.

“SEAM isn’t a media agency. It’s a consultancy that acts as the right hand to CEOs and boards, helping businesses scale up quickly. There are already amazing agencies out there—SEAM is here to
complement that by offering high-level marketing consultancy and leadership.”
