Enero Group Snares 10’s Carla Webb-Sear For CFO Role

Enero Group has announced the appointment of Carla Webb-Sear as its new chief financial officer, effective 8 March 2021.

Webb-Sear joins the Enero Group from Channel 10/Viacom CBS where she held the CFO role for more than two years. She has also spent 11 years with Fairfax Media in a variety of senior financial roles and has worked at PwC in Australia, the UK and the US. 

Enero Group CEO, Brent Scrimshaw, said of the appointment: “I am thrilled that Carla is joining the Executive team of Enero Group. She brings extensive international and local experience as a commercially astute CFO with deep expertise in entertainment, media and online transaction businesses in both ASX and NASDAQ/NYSE listed companies. Her experience will be tremendously advantageous for the Group and our future aspirations.”

Webb-Sear, who will report to Scrimshaw, said: “I am very excited to be joining Enero Group at this important time in its history and look forward to working with the Board and Executive team in accelerating the Group’s global growth strategy.” 

Webb-Sear will spend the coming weeks going through a handover and transition period with outgoing CFO, Brendan York. 

Scrimshaw added: “I would also like to thank Brendan York for his outstanding contribution to the company and look forward to continuing to work with him as we manage a smooth transition and handover to Carla.”  

In the recent half-year results for the six months ended 31 December 2020, Enero Group, which core agency brands include BMF, Hotwire and Orchard, achieved a net revenue of $81.0m, up 19% on the prior reporting period.
