Emotive Announces Andy Sinn As Commerical Director

New independent content marketing business Emotive has continued its expansion with the appointment of Andy Sinn as commercial director.

Reporting to CEO Simon Joyce, Sinn will be responsible for driving commercial strategy and revenue across the Emotive suite of products, including social video creation and amplification.

Sinn, who joins from Nova Entertainment and has a wealth of experience in creating entertainment content campaigns for brands said, “I’m extremely excited to join the passionate and talented team at Emotive. Brands are increasingly becoming publishers and Emotive has a unique formula to help them on this path by creating remarkable content and then ensuring it finds the right audience.”

The appointment reflects the early momentum of Emotive, which has delivered a new and more accountable model to the content marketing landscape. Since launch, Emotive has been appointed as ARN’s iHeartRadio and Four Seasons Condoms’ content marketing agency. More recently, Emotive were engaged by Optus to create a campaign announcing their partnership with Netflix in Australia, which starred Ricky Gervais, and after five days has been streamed over four million times in Australia.

Working in media for the past 12 years, my career commenced in sales at Fairfax Media working on Good Weekend Magazine, and later working across both Sydney and Melbourne Magazines. London called, where I gained invaluable international experience managing key accounts for The Sunday Times Travel Magazine. Upon returning to Australia, I joined MCM Media where I later became responsible for managing trade and consumer marketing across all brands and platforms in my role as Marketing Executive. My biggest achievement at MCM Media was the successful company rebrand from MCM Media to Authentic Entertainment in June 2014. Prior to joining Emotive, I developed and implemented a strategic Trade Marketing Plan for Brand New Media. I hold an undergraduate degree in Marketing from the University of Newcastle and a postgraduate in Media from the University of NSW. I am passionate about all things content marketing, audience, social media, brands, advertising, trade & consumer marketing, music, events and bringing brands and consumers closer together.
