Global branding agency DesignStudio has made former Interbrand Sydney managing director David Storey its Asia Pacific lead. He will be based in their Sydney office.
Storey is replacing Mark Liney, who will return to the UK to lead the agency’s London operations.
Paul Stafford, DesignStudio CEO said, “we have ambitious plans to grow our presence across APAC and I’m delighted that David has joined us to drive that effort.”
“He’s a strategic thinker whose breadth of experience working across a range of brands and industries make him ideally placed, along with our team in Sydney, to lead the next chapter for us.”
“Mark has done an outstanding job, in a short period of time, and it’s great to be keeping him in the business and use his knowledge of APAC to further bring together our three studios into a truly global offering.”
Storey spent more than six years at Interbrand, where he ultimately became managing director of its Sydney office.
He is joining DesignStudio after three years of strategic consulting for multiple organisations across a range of industries.
Storey said, “the work being produced by DesignStudio in the region is world-class and I’m looking forward to building on the strong foundations that have already been laid.”
“We have an opportunity to do things differently in APAC as it’s not bound by traditional branding codes.”
DesignStudio developed the Airbnb, Deliveroo and Premier League brands, among others, and opened its APAC office in Sydney three years ago
