CHEP has announced the appointment of Christian Hewitt as head of design – Sydney, with more than 15 years’ experience in the creative and tech industries, working at the intersection of design, storytelling and technology.
He was most recently head of design at Streamtime, leading the experience and visual design team to create an award winning product for the creative industries.
Prior to that, he has worked at some of the world’s most forward thinking agencies, including R/GA, Huge and For The People, for clients such as Google, Apple, Nike, Beats, YouTube, Playstation, Lego, Electronic Arts and Red Bull.
His work focuses on connected design practices for innovative digital products, services, campaigns and experiences. He has been awarded at D&AD, Cannes, One Show, IAB, Midas, AWARD, FWA and The Webbys.
Hewitt starts today, coinciding with the arrival of Gavin McLeod as chief creative officer.
McLeod commented, “Christian’s work, whether it is designing a world-class digital experience or crafting an award winning campaign, is second to none. And, he just happens to be one of the nicest people in the industry who really cares about growing the people that work with him.”
Hewitt added, “I’m delighted to come on board and join such a talented team. I’m a big believer that design is a powerful agent of change. I’m excited to bring this thinking to such a breadth of opportunities, across a wide range of disciplines, for our clients at CHEP.”
