Adventure travel company G Adventures has today launched a major promotional campaign to inspire Australians and New Zealanders to ‘Make Your Next Step Count’ headlined by a video starring Channel Nine personality Lauren Phillips as she travels through India with the company.

The ‘Make Your Next Step Count’ campaign is backed by a strategic development and ad-buying campaign, including out of home and cinema from OMD and concerted public relations outreach by Mulberry Marketing Communications.

The video following Phillips through India was produced by Little Brother:

“The ‘Make Your Next Step Count’ campaign was developed to inspire people to alter the course of their lives forever through travel. The campaign confronts people with a choice: continue to live an ordinary life or take the next step towards an extraordinary one,” said Belinda Ward, managing director, G Adventures Australia and New Zealand.

As part of the campaign, a major online competition will alter the lives of three people forever.  Entrants will be required to select an image which best represents how they dream of taking their next step, and then explain why they are ready to take the next step in their lives. They can enter the competition at gadventures.com.au/next-step.

“We live in a world where many people,  particularly women, feel stretched, too busy and overwhelmed by the pressures of juggling work, relationships, family and societal expectations,” said Lauren Philips. “I’m proud to be involved in a campaign with G Adventures that challenges busy people to stop and evaluate where they are at. I’ve always said travelling is the best gift you can give yourself. To travel is to really live, so it seems logical to me to make the next step count by travelling.”

Winners will be surprised in their workplaces, homes, gyms by the G Adventures team before being whisked off on a tour somewhere around the world that will ensure their next step is the one they’ve always wanted to take. Local production company Drum Creations will be there to capture the moment the announcement is made to the winner and develop unique ‘surprise and delight’ videos which will be shared and made available for viewing online during November and December.
