Carat Perth Announces Three New Appointments

Jim Groves, managing director Carat Perth, has announced a raft of new appointments for the agency. Lana Blanchard joins as client partner, Alan Bayliss as client director and Sam Giuffre has been promoted to group investment director.

Blanchard’s principal remit is to lead the agency’s key national client Alinta. Of her appointment Alinta Energy marketing manager Adam McCarthy commented: “Lana has already proven herself to possess the attributes required to run a business of the scale and complexity of ours; both the team and I are very much looking forward to working with her again.”

Blanchard added: “I’m delighted to be re-joining the Carat Perth team and it’s a privilege to lead a team working for one of WA’s powerhouse brands.”

Alan Baylis joins Carat from leading Perth financial services company P&N Bank where he ran campaigns and media investment as well as digital and data projects and services.

“I’m delighted to be joining a growing team with the capability in house and in the wider group to support Perth clients as they navigate increased complexity in media and digital transformation challenges,” Baylis said.

Giuffre has been with dentsu for over four years in a client director role; this new appointment will ensure Carat clients continue to achieve exceptional media investment outcomes through their media lines of business. Sam will lead WA Government and other key clients’ trading and investment requirements, with Alinta maintaining national trading oversight with local Investment Manager support.

Craig Cooper, chief investment officer Carat Australia said: “We are excited for Sam to join the Carat investment ranks given his wealth of experience in the Perth market. He is a seasoned trading professional with trusted connections and strong local relationships, and will deliver huge value for both Carat and our clients.”

Giuffre added: “It’s rewarding to be expanding my client remit at Carat at such an exciting time. It’s clear that there is a huge focus on delivering exceptional investment outcomes for clients and I’m excited to be part of that.”
