In hard lockdown since July, Melburnians have not been able to call round to their friends’ or family’s places without breaking the law – until now.

Bubba Pizza’s ‘Face to FaceTime Lockdown Delivery Service’ is a low-slash-high tech solution that lets folks get that little bit closer during lockdown by giving them the opportunity to send a pizza with their face displayed on an iPad (via FaceTime) over the face of the delivery-person.

Sales have spiked since the campaign launched earlier this month, up by 6% last week and with most stores experiencing their busiest week since the start of stage 4 lockdown restrictions.

“This new service is a way to use our status as an essential service to give the people of Melbourne something even more essential – a bit of a laugh, a pizza and a few smiles during what is a challenging time,” Bubba Pizza Managing Director, Damian Hopper, said.

By All Means Creative Partner, Ed Howley, said: ‘Right now pizza delivery is one of the few legal sources of enjoyment we’ve got left. Sure, you can always send someone a pizza during lockdown – but one with your face attached to a proxy’s body?! We know this is exactly what Melbourne needs right now!”

The innovation and pursuant campaign has come into a life of its own on Bubba’s socials and has been lauded in mainstream media, including the Seven Network’s The Morning Show.

To make lockdown better, the family owned Bubba Pizza is offering Melburnians the opportunity to deliver a pizza to friends and family via the Face to FaceTime Lockdown Delivery Service from now until the end of Melbourne stage 4 lockdown restrictions.

Customers (from anywhere in the world) simply need to get in touch via bubbapizza.com.au/contactus and tell Bubba why their loved one deserves such an out-of-the-box (sorry) delivery.
