B&T’s Women Leading Tech Awards To Return In 2022 And Entries Are Open!

We at B&T are proud to announce that the Women Leading Tech Awards, presented by Atlassian, are returning for the third year in a row.

The WLT Awards recognise and celebrate the brilliant female tech talent in our industry, and if the last two years are anything to go by, there are plenty of you out there!

The pandemic has propelled the media and marketing landscape into an ‘unprecedented’ period of digital transformation, and many businesses were forced to shake up their entire modus operandi to keep up with the greatest shift in consumption habits of a lifetime.

Driving this transformation are talented and creative individuals that understand the potential technology has to bring the industry to new heights but, unfortunately, the tech sector is still heavily male-dominated.

According to the European Commission’s Women in Digital Scoreboard from 2020, only 18 per cent of ICT specialists are women, while women in ICT earn 19 per cent less than men on average.

Through this annual initiative that is the WLT Awards, we aim to address these inequalities and help create the change that is needed by ensuring women are included in the conversation.
