Big Mobile adds clients and a new regional MD

End-to-end mobile advertising business Big Mobile has expanded its client portfolio, taking on publishers realestate.com.au and CBS Interactive.

In addition to winning the property and news websites, the mobile solutions company has promoted sales director Rob Hall to the newly created role of managing director Australasia.

Hall joined Big Mobile in 2009 rising through the ranks to his current position in the first half of 2012. He now takes charge of day-to-day operations for the business across Australia and New Zealand.

Fairfax Media sales manager Angus Keene will also join the team as New South Wales state sales manager in March. He has more than ten years experience in sales, media and management and has worked at Fairfax since 2006.

Big Mobile said the appointments were a recognition of the company’s maturing and rapidly growing business.

Graham Christie, group commercial director and partner at Big Mobile said: “The continued expansion of the business in Australia and New Zealand and our plans for future growth in South East Asia means the time is right for us to put in place a dedicated leader for the local business.”

Realestate.com.au is ranked the fourth most visited mobile site in Australia by Nielsen Market Intelligence (July 2012) with a total of 3.29 million visits.

CBS Interactive is a global top ten internet player and leader in Australia for gaming, consumer technology and business IT news and information with sites including CNET, ZDNet and GameSpot.

Christie said: “The scale and complexity of our premium audience reach matches the relevancy we can inject into delivering targeted advertising solutions. Our ambition for the group is simple, to continue to lead our markets in world-class mobile advertising."

Big Mobile was named 2012 Digital Services Company of the Year at the B&T Awards, the award it also won in 2010.

It has offices in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland, Jakarta and is soon to open in Singapore.

Current and previous clients include American Express, Emirates, Jaguar, Clearasil, BT, Commonwealth Bank, and Coca-Cola.
