Carsales has announced the appointment of Ben Tyers as head of content, marking a significant evolution in its approach to content.

This strategic move deepens carsales’ commitment to delivering engaging, informative content that’s clear and straightforward for everyday buyers, sellers, and researchers. The appointment reflects a fresh chapter for carsales and its network of brands, one focused on championing consumer-first content and broadening its reach to meet diverse audience needs.

With a rich background in content strategy, production, and audience engagement at prominent media outlets such as Buzzfeed, POPSUGAR, The Urban List, and Thrillist Australia, Tyers is uniquely positioned to guide carsales’ content strategy through this transition. His experience will be vital in helping carsales deliver informative and compelling content that resonates with consumers at every stage of their journey.

For over 20 years, carsales has led the automotive marketplace, providing comprehensive resources and insights, from reviews to news and comparisons. With YouTube views now exceeding a million each month – an increase of over 100% year-on-year – and the most-followed Instagram and fastest-growing TikTok among automotive competitors, carsales is reimagining its content to drive continued momentum and ensure it remains impactful and highly relevant to shifting consumer expectations.

His appointment marks a significant step in carsales’ ongoing dedication to remaining Australia’s #1 digital auto marketplace.
