Fans of the BONDS brand gathered together this afternoon at the iconic backdrop of Café Sydney to celebrate BONDS’ 100th Birthday.
Special guest and #BONDS100 brand ambassador, Iggy Azalea flew home for the milestone celebration. This is her first trip home since rising to international fame in 2013.
“It’s such a special moment for me to be back home for the BONDS 100th Birthday. I grew up loving BONDS girls and to be one of them now is really cool. Sydney is showing off with the incredible weather and the beautiful view of the Opera House. I’m having a ‘pinch myself moment’.” said Iggy Azalea.
Radio heads Hamish and Andy hosted the lunchtime event, interviewing Pat Rafter and Iggy Azalea. Iggy christened the event with the true Aussie tradition by “dacking” Andy Lee, showing off his Bonds undies.
“We are proud to be celebrating BONDS’ 100 year history and delighted that our ambassador Iggy Azalea is able to join us. We look forward to 100 years more,” said group marketing manager Tanya Deans.
The BONDS100 event was a colourful celebration of its proud heritage, with archival images of Bonds’ first campaign, from Cottontails, Chesty Bonds to the latest campaign with pop star sensation Iggy Azalea. The event concluded with 20 Bonds models flanking the stage wearing the latest BONDS100 collection. The collection showcased monochrome, logo waistbands, black and white basics with unique tropical and Australian wildflower prints.
