Macleay College unveils the new branding for the National Indigenous Culinary Institute (NICI) tonight. NICI worked with Macleay to create ideas to brand the newly formed initiative which focuses on training indigenous chefs.

New data shows the significant circulation growth and reader engagement of digital magazines through Adobe’s Digital Publishing Suite (DPS). Since the launch of Adobe DPS less than three years ago more than 150 million digital publications have been downloaded on mobile devices. The data also shows readers are deeply engaging with digital magazines.

ad:tech Australia announced today Owen Rogers, senior partner of design firm IDEO, as one of its keynote speakers. The digital media and marketing conference will be held next year at the Sydney Hilton on March 18-19.

One of Australia’s largest PR firms, PPR, has announced the expansion of its brand with the opening of PPR EMEA in London. This office joins the thirteen other offices around Australia, New Zealand and the US. It was recently named the World’s Most Innovative PR Company 2013 and opened the new office to keep up with demands in the communications industry.

MercerBell’s second annual charity art auction has raised $5,500 for the Australian Paralympic Committee, with two of the agency’s staff donating their books for the cause. Masterchef finalist, Lucy Wallrock provided the first-edition of her new baking cookbook and the Australian Paralympic Committee also provided a track cycling experience for twenty people, an item that attracted some fairly competitive bidding.

Adap.tv announced today a further investment in its global operations with an expansion into Southeast Asia. Alex Khan has been appointed managing director of Adap.tv’s Southeast Asia operations.

Carol Dowling of Noongar Radio Perth wins the 2013 Human Rights Award in the radio category. Her series consisted of a 30-part series on the serious subject of ear disease.
