M&C Saatchi's drive into athlete and talent management has a new face in the shape of former English cricket star Andrew “Freddie” Flintoff.
In conjunction with UK agency M&C Saatchi Merlin, M&C Saatchi Sport & Entertainment Australia will be Flintoff’s exclusive agent in Australia.
“To be representing one of the biggest names in international cricket, and one so synonymous with the Ashes and the great Aussie/English rivalry is a great way to launch this new part of the sport & entertainment offering,” said local managing director Jamie Gilbert-Smith.
“We are really excited to be working with Freddie and partnering him with some iconic Australian brands over the summer”.
Flintoff, a dynamic all rounder, starred for England in their epic 2005 Ashes triumph.
Since retiring from cricket in 2010, “Freddie” has gone on to become a popular cricket presenter on UK TV and has fronted campaigns for brands throughout Europe.
