House of Humble named Voice of 2013

House of Humble, a blog written by a 20-something couple, has taken out Kidspot’s Voices of 2013 award.

The Victorian-based blog has won the Voices of 2013, a program featuring 100 of Australia’s best bloggers, to take home a $6,000 12-week paid writing contract with Kidspot’s Village Voices, a $15,000 New York trip and a Ford Territory or Ford Focus for the year.

Kidspot’s Voices of 2013 program is designed to shine the light on quality bloggers with a program that writing challenges and free blogging master class events.

Alex Brooks, Kidspot’s executive editor, said:

 "The Voices of 2013 program has been running for four years now and is uncovering Australia's best digital content creators and influencers; those early adopters who are making their mark in the ever-changing technology landscape.”

"Our judges have used strict criteria to ensure only the very best bloggers can rise to the top of their category. It's been an exciting and exhaustive process to finally be able to announce our winning bloggers after nearly a year of awesome posts, challenges and creativity."

The judging panel – including Brooks, Vogue Australia’s Edwina McCann and Taste.com.au magazine’s Brodee Myers-Cooke – narrowed the competition down from more than 700 nominations, to 100 finalists, 25 category finalists to five category finalists.
