Engine serves up a retro campaign

Engine’s new campaign for Evocca College showcases the evolution of gaming, from the days of big-haired tennis through to modern video games.

The campaign is spearheaded by a 60-second cinema spot that shows two throwbacks playing tennis, gradually morphing into a computer game.

Tim Weger, managing director of the Brisbane agency, told B&T: “Through this campaign we wanted to communicate to the market that, with Evocca, you can be part of the next big thing in IT or multimedia.

“In a highly cluttered space, we went about developing creative that was designed to get noticed and talked about.”

The tagline of the campaign for the college, which has branches in Queensland and New South Wales, is ‘the best thing to happen to IT since games were invented’.

The campaign also includes digital and social elements.
