Coke's Jasmin Vinculado steps up to Austin's role

Jasmin Vinculado is to temporarily step into the shoes of Coca-Cola marketer Lucie Austin, who is to move to London with the brand.

Vinculado, head of operational marketing, will temporarily replace Austin as Coca-Cola looks to permanently fill the South Pacific marketing director role.

One of Austin’s last tasks before her departure to take on the European marketing role, is to help find her replacement.

“We have benefitted from Jasmin’s authentic leadership, strategic thinking and sharp wit for the past two years as my deputy and she is more than qualified to steer the team through this short transition period,” Austin said.

“I have had a fantastic five years at the helm of one of Australia’s strongest and most creative marketing teams.

“I’m proud of the work that the team and our agencies have delivered during my tenure, and humbled by the recognition that many of our campaigns have achieved.”

Austin was behind the award winning ‘Share A Coke’ campaign which was rolled out globally after its local success.

Last year, the brand launched ‘Share a Coke and a Song’ with Austin confident the push would be as successful the second time around. To read B&T’s interview with Austin click here.
