Canon Australia's top marketer to depart

Canon Australia’s top marketer for its consumer imaging business Darren Ryan is leaving the Japanese company after seven years.

The brand is now on the hunt for a new general manager of marketing for the division, with Ryan set to leave on April 26.

Jason McLean, director of Canon Consumer Imaging said: ““After nearly seven years with Canon, Darren feels the time is right for a change and is comfortable to take some time out to consider the future.

“Darren’s characteristic focus, dedication and passion have left an indelible mark on Canon and he will leave us with a great legacy for future growth and achievement.”

During his tenure the brand has enjoyed growth and awards success, including picking up seven Cannes Lions for the World of EOS creative imaging experience website, which won the Grand Prix for Media in 2010.
