ZOO Expands To Auckland

ZOO Expands To Auckland

ZOO Auckland recently opened its doors, marking the advertising and digital agency’s first international venture.

The Auckland agency will be headed by Kelly Addis, whose role has expanded to Auckland/Melbourne CEO.

Addis explains that ZOO’s unique shareholding model means “our motivation is driven by client requirements and not conflicted by different profit centres”. With this in mind, ZOO Auckland presents a distinct advantage to clients who want one concept delivered seamlessly across both Australian and New Zealand markets.

With Addis’ role expanding, Mark Richardson (credited with building Whybin\TBWA’s Tequila brand) steps into the role of managing director Melbourne. Prior to joining ZOO as head of digital in 2013 Richardson worked as Medibank Private’s head of online for six years. Mark’s mandate is to grow our Melbourne client base and support our Auckland team as Kelly grows the business.

Other ZOO Melbourne changes include Derek van den Hogen stepping into the Creative Partner role, after a year and half as senior art director. Since leaving South Africa van den Hogen has worked for Badjar Ogilvy and JPD, and with his recent promotion looks forward to taking an increased mentoring role at ZOO.
