Wilson Asset Management Named Official Partner Of The 2022 UCI Road World Championships

    Australian investment manager Wilson Asset Management has been named as the foundation Official Partner of the 2022 UCI Road World Championships, an Olympic-scale celebration of cycling in New South Wales.

    A leading light in investment management, Wilson Asset Management will partner with the local organising committee for the championships in 2022, which are being held in Wollongong.

    The goal will be to deliver a world-class event founded on supporting people and creating a legacy for the community.

    Wilson Asset Management Chairman and Chief Investment Officer Geoff Wilson AO said the event was not only beneficial to the cycling community but would create a prosperous future for Wollongong and the Australian community.

    “Wilson Asset Management has a long-standing commitment to making a difference for our shareholders and the community. We are the investment manager for eight listed investment companies and the creator and lead supporter of the Future Generation companies, the first listed investment companies to deliver both investment and social returns,” Mr Wilson said.

    “We look forward to working with Wollongong 2022 to demonstrate the long-term value of investing in financial, physical and mental wellbeing through cycling, community engagement and major events.”

    The 2022 UCI Road World Championships will be held from 18-25 September in Wollongong, Australia, when 1,000 of the best cyclists from 70+ countries will compete for a gold medal and coveted rainbow jersey in front of 300,000 spectators.
