If it was’t already the most hyped gaming product in 2020, the PlayStation 5 certainly is now after the release of another stunning ad.
Last month Sony gave the first glimpse of the new console – which is set to launch in November – releasing a brand campaign with the PlayStation 5’s official tagline ‘play has no limits’.
And now Sony is back with a fresh campaign via adam&eveDDB.
The new ad carries the same ‘play has no limits’ theme as the previous iteration, this time featuring an epic scene which includes pirates, airships and the edge of the world.
Speaking with AdWeek, Sony vice president of global marketing Mary Yee said the ad is designed to highlight the sense of community that comes with gaming.
“With our new brand spot, we highlight what the PlayStation brand means to us and to our fans. We take the viewer on a journey of the solitary player as he is joined by other gamers within his community as they reach the edge of the known world and then charge bravely together into the unknown,” she said,
“‘The Edge’ speaks to the rally cry for PlayStation. It embodies who we are and what we stand for. We excite and thrill our fans. We will take our fans on this next voyage, past the edge of what they thought gaming was capable of. And we will continue to push the boundaries of play this next generation and beyond.”
