Sitecore Positioned Highest In Gartner’s Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management

Sitecore today announced that it has once again placed highest in “ability to execute” by Gartner, Inc. in its September 28, 2016 “Magic Quadrant for Web Content Management” for the second year in a row, relative to all other participating WCM vendors.

The evaluation criteria for a vendor’s ability to execute included product/service, overall viability, sales execution/pricing, market responsiveness and track record, marketing execution, customer experience and operations.

Criteria for completeness of vision included market understanding, marketing strategy, sales strategy, product strategy, business model, vertical/industry strategy, innovation and geographic strategy. For the seventh consecutive year, Sitecore has landed in the leadership quadrant.

“The explosive growth of marketing technology has transformed how brands interact with their consumers. Relatedly, consumers have increasingly high expectations for how the brand behaves with them,” said Michael Seifert, CEO and co-founder, Sitecore.

We believe the recognition for WCM leadership in the Gartner WCM Magic Quadrant for the seventh year in a row validates the quality of our technology platform, global customer and partner base, and world-class team members.”

Sitecore believes the recognition represents continued success for the company which is profitable and posted double digit growth for its fiscal year. The company has several marquee customers including Baldor Electric Company, Canadian Cancer Society, Carnival Cruise Lines, Dole Packaged Foods, Fratelli Carli S.p.A., and Zodiac Pool Systems, Inc.

In addition, the company expanded its offerings with the enhancements to its platform, Sitecore 8.2 at Sitecore Symposium on September 15, 2016.
