Opr Promotes Jacquie Potter To MD Of The Melbourne Office

opr (formerly Ogilvy PR) has promoted Jacquie Potter to the role of Managing Director of its Melbourne PR operations, effective immediately.

Richard Brett, CEO opr said: “I am thrilled Jacquie has accepted the role of Melbourne’s managing director. I believe very strongly that when senior positions become vacant we look to promote internally before we look outside the business.

“It is Jacquie’s incredible client skills, drive and passion for the business that made her the obvious choice.  Her tenacity in finding, building and responding to opportunities is inspiring and her ability to convert and build her clients and the agency’s reputation is excellent. This bodes well for the continued success of the Melbourne team this year and beyond.”

Potter has held key account management and leadership positions within opr for more than 12 years.

Commenting on her new role, Potter said: “There is no better place than opr to develop your career. Ever since I joined Howorth as a graduate in 2006, the business has attracted some of the industry’s best talent and an enviable group of clients to work on. It’s an energising and inspiring place to work and I look forward to leading Melbourne’s team through its next growth phase.”

Potter will continue to lead opr’s AMEX account, which continues to deliver award winning work in Australia, and she will also play an active role as a key member of Howorth’s senior leadership team.
