STW strategic design and branding agency Houston Group, has announced the appointment of Joanna Peasland to the role of client services director effective immediately.

With more than 14 years’ experience spanning senior positions in the United Kingdom and Australia, Peasland brings a varied background to the agency across specialist brands, high volume retail and fully integrated advertising.

Houston Group’s CEO, Stuart O’Brien said Peasland’s proven expertise and skills would add to his already strong management team, and he was looking forward to her unique perspective contributing to the agency’s future success.

“Jo’s appointment is a fantastic win for us and we are very excited to have her on board,” said O’Brien. “She is someone we have admired for some time and has worked for many of our clients in the past. Her experience and her energy completes our senior leadership team perfectly.”

Peasland will immediately take responsibility for overseeing Houston’s account management department, spearheading key client relationships including Qantas, Lend Lease and Macquarie Group.

Previously at Moon Communications, Peasland was instrumental in the development of some of the most loved and effective campaigns for iconic brands including Westfield, Sydney Opera House, The University of Sydney, Tourism Australia, Commonwealth Bank and Screen Australia. Most recently, with Droga5 as group business director, she led the Woolworths account.

“I’ve always considered Houston to be an industry pioneer, and in a multidimensional world, we need pioneers more than ever,” said Peasland.

“I am excited to be working with a very talented team to both create ideas for the great clients and brands we have and to win new clients for the agency. I am passionate about getting under the skin of a client’s business and pride myself on establishing strong client partnerships, an attribute Houston is renowned for delivering,” she said.
