Nine’s returning Family Food Fight got off to a rather unappetizing debut last night, managing just 411,000 viewers according to the OzTam metro numbers.
Last night’s other debutant, Seven’s Bride & Prejudice, fared better with 633,000.
Ten had headaches of its own, its spluttering Blind Date managing only 347,000.
Meanwhile the ABC’s Monday night of current affairs – ably led by Australian Story that pulled 769,000 – saw Aunty snare over a fifth of last night’s viewers.
Seven won Monday with 28.8 per cent share, post-Block Nine had to settle for 25.3 per cent, while the ABC enjoyed 20.7 per cent. That left Ten with 17.7 per cent and SBS with 7.5 per cent.
Over at Seven, its best was its 6pm news (979,000) which was the most watched show of the evening. Other highlights included Today Tonight (973,000), Home And Away (663,000), Bride & Prejudice (633,000) and The Chase (549,000).
Nine’s Monday ran thus: 6pm news (891,000), ACA (757,000), Hot Seat (469,000) and, of course, Family Food Fight (411,000).
For Ten, Have You Been Paying Attention? was its standout with 683,000; however, it clearly lost viewers to Seven and Nine’s new reality shows. The Project was again disappointing, mustering only 445,000, Eyewitness News had 370,000 and Blind Date pulled 347,000.
Again, the ABC had a stellar Monday with four of the top 10 shows last night. Again, Australian Story (769,000) led the way. Four Corners (721,000) even beat the 7pm news bulletin (716,000). 7.30 had 698,000, Media Watch had 632,000, while an arts-led Q&A wasn’t of interest to too many viewers, it managed 284,000.
Over at the SBS, Britain’s Most Historic Towns was its premier show, managing 266,000.
