Data science led agency Jaywing has today announced that Andrew Lowdon will be its new client service director, a newly created role that that reflects the agency’s growing Australian business and strengthens its senior management team.

Lowdon joins Jaywing from Atomic 212 where he was group account director. Previously, Lowdon was at Jaywing’s sister agency Epiphany in the UK.

The appointment follows other recent hires, including SEO technical specialist Nishanth Stephen, formerly of Fairfax Media, Razorfish and iProspect.

Jaywing has seen headcount at its Sydney office increase by 85% since it was acquired in July 2016. The company credits its two 2016 acquisitions and growth in Australia as important to its overall performance in its recently released results. Jaywing executive chairman Martin Boddy said of Australia that: “Its services have expanded… the team has been able to sell more services into existing clients and win larger contracts. This has resulted in growth rates that have exceeded both our expectations and growth rates we are experiencing in the UK.”

Commenting on Lowdon’s appointment, Jaywing Australia managing director Chris Pittham, said: “As we grow, the shape of our business is changing having added services such as conversion rate optimisation and programmatic display to our core of SEO, content, paid online media and website development. So we felt the time was right to formalise our approach to client service with the creation of a new client services director role. Andrew brings with him a wealth of client services experience and a whole career in search. He shares our collaborative approach to helping clients meet their challenges and is a true ‘client partner’, taking the time to understand clients’ businesses inside out and offer support focused on achieving their goals. He will fit right in with the team, joining the dots between our specialist disciplines to deliver cohesive client solutions to our clients. We’re delighted to welcome Andrew back to the Jaywing family here in Australia.”

Lowdon added: “The direction of Jaywing in Australia really excites me so when the opportunity arose to join, it was truly irresistible. Its focus on delivering strategic solutions, rather than ‘selling services’, across a range of data science led disciplines, including sophisticated attribution modeling and the use of Artificial Intelligence, means Jaywing is well placed to support clients wherever they are in their marketing maturity. Indeed, it’s this client-led approach that makes a role that champions the client so appealing. The company has all of the hunger for success for its clients and itself of a start up combined with all of the professionalism of a big agency. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”

Jaywing launched in Australia in March this year and counts Wedgwood, Amber Tiles, Credit Card Compare and SugarCRM among its clients.

In May Jaywing announced the Australia launch of Jaywing Intelligence, a new product suite that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Virtual Reality (VR) technology across a wide range of marketing applications enabling marketers to make much faster, fully informed commercial decisions through technology that harvests, processes and analyses data.
