Homeworld Joins Sydney Thunder As Major Sponsor

HomeWorld, display home village developer and manager, has announced an exciting new sponsorship deal, signing on as a major sponsor of Sydney Thunder cricket for two years.

This is HomeWorld’s first major sporting sponsorship and follows hot on the heels of the organisation’s rebrand and restructure. The move also signals a more strategic and proactive marketing approach by HomeWorld.

HomeWorld CEO, Phillip Jones, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to be associated with the dynamic Sydney Thunder cricket team. Like us, Sydney Thunder loves our great Australian lifestyle, not to mention a dedication and commitment to excellence.

“Their focus on grassroots community activity sits well with our own values, and we are looking forward to a successful relationship.”

The sponsorship deal includes branding rights on the team’s playing uniform and training kit, signage at home ground matches at Sydney Showground, social media activity, hospitality packages and money-can’t buy opportunities including player appearances.

Sydney Thunder general manager Nick Cummins said the partnership was a perfect fit:“We are delighted to have HomeWorld join the Thunder as our major sponsor.

“The builders at HomeWorld have been building new homes in the Thunder Nation for thirty years, and we look forward to working with them to continue to grow their business within our region.”

The Sydney Thunder begins its fifth Big Bash League season on December 17, taking on cross-town rivals the Sixers at Spotless Stadium. This year’s squad is one of the strongest ever assembled, with the likes of Michael Hussey, Jacques Kallis and Shane Watson to take the field for the Thunder in the exciting, action-packed competition. This season will also see Australian vice-captain Alex Blackwell lead the Sydney Thunder in the inaugural Women’s Big Bash League.
