Australia’s newest advertising representation business, WeThinkMedia, is set to launch this month, with MediaWorks New Zealand its foundation client.

Established by Peter Wiltshire, who was previously the chief revenue officer and group sales and marketing director at Nine Entertainment, WeThinkMedia will service clients across the media spectrum seeking representation in Australia.

WeThinkMedia already holds the exclusive representation rights in Australia for New Zealand’s largest independent broadcaster, MediaWorks, across its TV, radio and digital platforms.

The company is also in active discussions with several other local and international media platforms that require personalised media representation services.

Jane Stucci joins WeThinkMedia as head of sales from Southern Cross Austereo, where her most recent role was national TV sales director.

Stucci will manage operations and client-facing work for WeThinkMedia, with the support of sales professionals Gaylene Riminton and Emma Thomas, who have experience with MediaWorks.

As founder and director of the business, Wiltshire will provide strategic counsel while continuing to focus on his active consulting and directorship portfolio.

“The opportunity for a new, boutique media representation business offering expert and highly-personalised service has become apparent through my extensive advisory work for a broad range of clients,” he said.

“We’re proud to launch with MediaWorks as our foundation client and we thank them for selecting us to help grow their Australian advertising client base.

“I’m also delighted to welcome Jane Stucci as head of sales, who will run the day-to-day business and manage the sales team. Jane’s broad industry relationships and experience across the Australian and international marketing and advertising community superbly qualify her for the role.”

Commenting on her new role, Stucci said: “It’s fantastic to be working with Peter to launch WeThinkMedia and to have MediaWorks as our foundation client.

“Though I’ve lived in Australia for many years, I’m still a passionate Kiwi, so am thrilled to share MediaWorks’ extraordinary offer as New Zealand’s largest independent broadcaster with the Australian client and agency market.”

Glen Kyne, chief commercial officer at MediaWorks, said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with Peter to launch WeThinkMedia in the Australian market. His reputation, depth of experience and knowledge and intimacy with the local market bring great benefit to MediaWorks in broadening our brand offering in Australia.

“Also, having met and spent quality time with Jane, we have great confidence in the leadership she will bring to the market on behalf of MediaWorks.”
