Accenture Song has hired one of the industry’s top media buyers, EssenceMediacom’s Sydney head of investment Katherine ‘KP’ Pochroj.
B&T understands Pochroj will join the growing Accenture Song team as a general manager.
Pochroj is one of the shining stars at WPP Media. This year she won the B&T Women In Media award for media planner/buyer of the year. She was also the Unltd. Social Changemaker of the Year in 2025, and played a pivotal role in WPP Media’s excellent Ignition program this year.
At EssenceMediacom, Pochroj leads a team of 121 media buyers that handle billings for accounts including Coca-Cola, Uber, Lion, HBO Max, AirBnb and KFC.
Pochroj played a critical role in helping WPP Media win the recent BYD account and she has taken Lion’s out-of-home and screen strategy to new heights.
She will join Accenture Song at a critical juncture. Yesterday, the business confirmed that it recently won the Medibank media account.
The Accenture Song team has been building momentum in the past 18 months, winning blue chip clients including Airwallex, Optus and Australia Post.
The Aussie media team is now led by Sam Geer, who took the baton over from Melissa Fein. This week moved to the US to build the Accenture Song media offering Stateside.
Chris Colter, one of the industry leading strategists, has also played an important role building the Accenture Song media proposition in this market.
Pochroj will be reunite with Accenture Song’s principal director, commercial and investments, Nick Thomas, who has previously served as EssenceMediacom chief investment officer.
Accenture Song and WPP Media declined to comment on KP’s move.
