On Thursday evening, Sydney’s adland was treated to a very special GumGum Pub Quiz.
From Boris Johnson and Donald Trump’s reproductive records to the holding company Sir Martin Sorrell founded, advertisers from across the agency world were put to the test, with plenty of laughs along the way.
The evening was all about good company, networking and a healthy dose of trivia, with around 100 adlanders getting amongst the action.
Before quizmaster and B&T editor Tom Fogden took to the stage, Clancy Overell and Errol Parker from The Betoota Advocate had the audience in stitches during a fireside chat with GumGum’s JAPAC managing director Matthew Coote.
Coote even copped a stray from the pair, who reckoned he bore a striking resemblance to Treasurer Jim Chalmers.
“It was wonderful to see some of adland’s sharpest minds have a go at trivia. Our partnerships with these media agencies are incredibly important for us at GumGum and we are grateful to all of them. We are so fortunate to work with everyone who attended. Congrats to the team from Dentsu for winning and everyone else for taking part,” Coote said.
Congratulations to Dentsu for taking out the quiz. But with 100 attendees enjoying a night of laughs, networking and a little friendly competition, the real winners were everyone who turned up.
