Dentsu Aegis Network Creates Bespoke Agency For Woolworths Group

Dentsu Aegis Network (DAN) has created a bespoke agency to service the country’s largest retailer, Woolworths Group.

The agency, Woolworths@DAN, will bring together talent from across the Network including Carat, Amplifi, Amnet, iProspect, Columbus and Posterscope.

The agency will be led by newly-appointed MD, Sarah James, who has been promoted from her previous role as Chief Digital Officer at Carat.

James has held senior digital leadership roles within DAN since joining in 2011, and has been the driving force behind the digital transformation of the business.

James’ comprehensive digital background was integral to her appointment, with 13+ years’ experience working with L’Oréal, GM Holden, Hasbro, Mondelez International, and Medibank.

James, who is currently Melbourne based, will relocate to Sydney to take on full leadership of the agency as of Monday 9 July.

DAN ANZ CEO Simon Ryan said, “Sarah is an exceptional leader with extensive digital and marketing experience across Carat, here and overseas.

“Her leadership of high performing teams, alongside her digital transformation expertise, make her the perfect choice to lead the evolution of our partnership with Woolworths Group.”

Brendon Cropper, Carat’s chief data & customer experience officer, will take on the Agency’s Digital responsibilities previously held by James.
