B&T’s Radio Ratings Round Up!

It’s the second survey of the year, and despite radio star Chrissie Swan being baffled by the ratings, we’ve collated the latest findings from GfK today.

Melbourne

Breakfast

Movements: 3AW continues to lead the charge, zooming ahead nearly three points. However, ABC nearly dropped three per cent.

First: Macquarie Media Limited’s 3AW with Ross & John – 20.5 per cent. Up 2.7 per cent from survey prior.

Second: ABC’s ABC774 program – 13.6 per cent. Down 2.7.

Third: Southern Cross Austereo (SCA)’s Triple M with The Hot Breakfast – 8.3 per cent. Down 0.2.

Drive

Movements: NOVA’s Kate, Tim & Marty and smoothfm both increased just over one point to 8.6 and 7.3 respectively. ABC’s Triple J dropped a rather large 3.8 per cent, down to 5.1 per cent.

First: Macquarie’s 3AW with Tom Elliot – 11.7 per cent. Up 1.8 from survey prior.

Second: SCA’s FoxFM Hit101.9 with Hamish & Andy – unchanged from 10.5 per cent.

Third: Australian Radio Network (ARN)’s GOLD with Gavin Miller – 8.9 per cent. Down 0.5.

 

Sydney

Breakfast

Movements: The top three remain unchanged from the survey before, but Kyle & Jackie O have dropped down a place to third. ARN’s WSFM with Jonesy & Amanda increased nearly one point, but is still down from rating the duo had when battling with Kyle & Jackie O. Rove & Sam on SCA’s Hit Network maintained a share of 3.0 per cent.

First: Macquarie’s 2GB with Alan Jones – 15.3 per cent. Down 0.7 from past survey.

Second: ABC’s ABC702 – 11.4 per cent. Up 0.9.

Third: ARN’s KIIS1065 with Kyle & Jackie O – 11.3 per cent. Down 1.2.

Drive

Movements: ARN’s KIIS1065 with Hughesy & Kate have maintained first place. ABC 702 and Triple J have switched places since the survey before. SCA’s Hamish & Andy have also increased 1.1 to 6.6.

First: ARN’s KIIS1065 with Hughesy & Kate – 10.7 per cent. Down 0.9 since survey prior.

Second: ABC’s ABC702 – 10.0 per cent. Up 0.2.

Third: ABC’s Triple J – 9.6 per cent. Down 1.0.

 

Perth

Breakfast

Movements: The top three remain unchanged, however NOVA’s Perth brekkie team widened the gap between second and third place.

First: ABC’s ABC720 – 15.5 per cent. Down 0.7 from the survey before.

Second: NOVA Entertainment’s NOVA93.7 with Nathan, Nat & Shaun – 14.4 per cent. Up 1.1.

Third: SCA’s Mix94.5 with Clairsy, Shane & Kymba – 12.0 per cent. Down 1.0.

Drive

Movements: FM dominates the drive slot in Perth radio. There’s been no dramatic movements, bar ABC’s Triple J dropped 1.4 per cent to 10.1. This puts it in fourth place.

First: SCA’s Mix94.5 with Lisa & Pete – 15.2 per cent. Down 0.7.

Second: NOVA’s 93.7 with Kate, Tim & Marty – 15.0 per cent. Down 0.8.

Third: SCA’s Hit 92.9 with Hamish & Andy – 13.9 per cent. Up 0.5.

 

Brisbane

Breakfast

Movements: ARN’s brekkie show smashed it this ratings, increasing nearly two points.

First: ABC’s 612 – 14.6 per cent. Up 0.5 from the survey before.

Second: ARN’s 97.3 with Robin, Terry & Bob – 13.5 per cent. Up 1.9.

Third: NOVA’s 106.9 with Ash, Kip & Luttsy – unchanged from 11.6 per cent.

Drive

Movements: The national drive shows from each network dominated the top three this time around. Hamish & Andy zoomed ahead to take the lead, just pushing NOVA’s Kate, Tim & Marty to second.

First: SCA’s Hit105 with Hamish & Andy – 14.6 per cent. Up 2.1 from the survey before.

Second: NOVA’s 106.9 with Kate, Tim & Marty – 14.5 per cent. Unchanged.

Third: ARN’s 97.3 with Hughesy & Kate – 13.6 per cent. Up 2.3.

 

Adelaide

Breakfast

Movements: ABC continues to reign in the South Australian capital, despite dropping more than a point. ARN’s MIX102.3 pushed itself into second place, up from third the survey before.

First: ABC’s 891 – 17.3 per cent. Down 1.6.

Second: ARN’s Mix102.3 with Jodie & Soda – 12.3 per cent. Up 1.0.

Third: Fiveaa – 11.0 per cent. Down 0.9.

Drive

Movements: ARN’s Mix102.3 has been pushed out of the top three, overtaken by SCA’s TripleM. While not in the top three, ABC’s Triple J dropped a whopping 3.7 per cent.

First: NOVA’s 919 with Lewis & Lowie – 13.7 per cent. Down 0.5 than the survey before.

Second: SCA’s Hit107 with Hamish & Andy – 13.6 per cent. Up 2.5.

Third: SCA’s TripleM with Jars & Louie – 12.3 per cent. Up 2.1.
