Boomtown Unveils The Boomtown Hub – A Revolutionary New Tool For Regional Media Planning

The Boomtown collective has unveiled its industry-first online Hub, designed to change the face of regional media planning.

Launching today, the Boomtown Hub integrates regional media for the first time across a comprehensive network of maps, rich category insights and a consolidated briefing portal.

The first-of-its-kind Hub includes:

  • Interactive media coverage maps and search tools, providing visibility of the networks and publishers operating in each regional market;
  • Opportunities across digital, television, print, radio and out of home across hundreds of assets and thousands of markets;
  • Access to insights across 10 key categories including retail, automotive, finance and travel;
  • Streamlined briefing with one avenue to multiple regional media owners, aimed at improving workflow and reducing manual processes.

Boomtown Chairman and SCA Chief Sales Officer, Brian Gallagher, said the Hub would revolutionise the way media agencies and advertisers engage with regional media opportunities.

“In the past, there have been significant barriers to planning regional media. Media buyers kept telling us they found it difficult to work out which organisation owns which regional assets and in which markets, and it often meant they had to liaise with each individually, making the whole process very time-consuming,” he said.

“We took that feedback on board and custom-built the Boomtown Hub, which not only simplifies the complexity and scale of regional media but provides a new way to seamlessly brief in campaigns.”

“We are confident that it will become a valuable tool for the industry and is another step in helping regional media attract the advertising dollars it deserves.”

The Hub’s launch comes as Boomtown regions swell following the influx of Aussie tourists as a result of the halt on international travel, along with the relocation of city residents to regional Australia as ‘work from home’ and ‘work from anywhere’ become increasingly popular.

Prime Media Group General Manager Sales & Marketing, Dave Walker, said, “Boomtown is really at an inflection point in 2021. It’s already home to 8.8 million people and that will increase this year as people continue to migrate permanently out of metro areas.”

“Now is the time for advertisers to add regional media to their plans and take advantage of the unprecedented numbers of people choosing to travel to and live regionally, and with the Boomtown Hub now at their fingertips, it will be easier than ever to harness the power of regional audiences for their brands.”
