10’s The Bachelors Australia premiered last night, with viewings topping the 16-39 demo.
The network said the premiere gained 439, 000 viewers nationally, with 44, 000 viewers having watched the episode on 10 Play so far.
Generally younger viewers are more likely to watch shows later on demand.
Based on OzTam figures 309,000 metro viewers tuned in for the launch, which was down on previous years.
This year 10 switched up the format – moving from having one bachelor to three. This shifted the power to the female contestants who now have the power to pick their favourite man.
Tweeters were feeling love with #TheBachelorsAU named as the top hashtag in Australia.
Based on 10 figures the franchise typically lifts almost 40 percent with the inclusion of total 7 day audiences, and on demand viewing began with the limited and exclusive access of the first two episodes at the beginning of January, on 10 Play.
