Bar Offers Free Drinks For Every Goal Scored! US Wins 13-0!

Trying to get bums on seats, a bar in Miami hatched a plan to offer free drinks for every goal scored during the US’ Women’s World Cup qualifier against Thailand on Tuesday.

Harmless enough, given that soccer games tend to be rather low scoring affairs.

According to media reports, some 40 fans took up American Social Bar And Restaurant’s  enticingly refreshing football offer.

Problem was, Team USA went on to annihilate the Thais by a staggering 13-0. At one point in the second half, scoring four goals in six minutes. Which equates to a lot of free booze.

Undeterred, the bar tends to run the promotion again for this Sunday’s match between the US team and Chile.

In the aftermath it posted to Instagram: “What an amazing afternoon yesterday! Thank you to everyone who came out in support of US Women’s soccer, including @nbc6! 13 rounds of free shots and you better believe we’ll have more Sunday at 12pm!'”

And, yes, social media was soon having fun at the bar’s expense:
