During lockdowns over the past two years, Australia saw an increase in demand for good internet speeds, while millions turned to working from home.
A source of frustration for every man and his dog, Uswitch data has revealed just how often internet problems are being searched for by Aussies.
So, what do the results show?
Are we just a whiny bunch of complainers or are our internet issues really that bad?
On average, Australians are searching on Google for ways to fix the problem of internet speed 550,000 times a month. This means 98 per cent of searches in the country about broadband have to do with internet speed.
Maybe it’s presumptuous but it would be fair to assume that those searches aren’t made under the pretense of enjoying lightning-fast speeds.
Other top broadband issues searched for in Australia included download speed which had 5,400 searches in a month and slow internet problems that had 1,000 searches a month.
Below is a table provided by Uswitch that includes Australia’s top broadband issues and their searches per month.
