It’s Here! The 2018 B&T Awards Shortlist (Part 1) Has Arrived!

Another year has passed and entries flooded in for this year’s B&T Awards. And now the day you’ve been waiting for has finally arrived – the B&T Awards shortlist for 2018 is here!

If you don’t see some of the categories below, don’t fret – this is just part one of the shortlist, and includes all major categories.

Agencies on this list also must present at the second judging round on Friday October 19. The live judging day will be held at The Portside Centre (Level 5, 207 Kent St, Sydney), and the B&T team will be in touch with all shortlisted in major categories with all the nitty-gritty details.

Part two of the shortlist will be released tomorrow, and the second group of categories do not need to attend the second round of judging.

For those required at the live judging day, read this next steps carefully:

  • RSVP to viv@bandt.com.au with names of all presenting team members, as well as whether you’ll be attending the concluding drinks (because being shortlisted deserves a drink or two).
  • Prepare your presentation – each shortlisted entrant will have five minutes set up time and 20 minutes to present in front of a judging panel, followed by 10 minutes of Q&A with the panel.
  • Your presentation should address the same set of criteria as your hard copy entry –  check out the full criteria details here.
  • Based interstate/overseas? If you cannot attend the judging day, please advise our team ASAP.

If you’ve been shortlisted, make sure you also supply one of the following to viv@bandt.com.au by October 19 to show as you (hopefully) pick up your shiny trophy: a showreel of up to 15 seconds – 16:9 in H264 HD OR a team photo in high res, 16:9 dimension, JPEG.

Oh, and sometimes in the procrastination-fuelled hurry to get those entries in, people make mistakes. So double check your company name is spelled correctly; otherwise you could have a trophy which has a spelling mistake on it. And no one wants that. So email viv@bandt.com.au with any changes by October 4.

This year, CHE Proximity appears the most on the major categories shortlist, with six entries! The Works follows closely behind with five entries, and Cummins&Partners comes in third with four entries.

Early-bird tickets will also only be available until October 5! If you’ve been shortlisted, we highly, highly recommend you grab your tickets now – because you definitely want to pick up your trophy in person. Get them right here.

This year’s B&T Awards will be held at Sydney Town Hall on November 23. For all other info, head to the website.

So without further ado, here’s part one of the 2018 B&T Awards shortlist! Feast your eyes:
