Nine’s Tipping Point ran a double feature on last night, with Tipping Point Australia and Tipping Point: Battle of the Codes, both editions inside the night’s top ten programs.
The original format came in third with a Total TV National Reach of 1,585,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 858,000. Battle of the Codes saw NRL great Johnathan Thurston, AFLW star Ebony Marinoff and Socceroos and A-League veteran Archie Thompson take on the machine in pursuit of $40,000 for charity, giving the format’s regular run an extra cut-through hit on top of its usual Tipping Point Australia numbers. It had a national reach of 1,434,000 and an average audience 596,000.
SBS’s 2026 FIFA World Cup coverage continued to deliver strong audiences across the night, with England v Ghana the standout with a national reach of 1,457,000 and an average audience of 630,000. That was followed by Colombia v Costa Rica with a national reach of 892,000 and an average audience of 418,000, while Panama v Croatia brought in a national reach of 833,000 with an average audience of 401,000.
Seven’s Aussie cult classic Home and Away drew in a national reach of 1,,460,000 and an average audience of 984,000 viewers.
Over on Ten, MasterChef Australia‘s Masters Week challenge had a national reach of 1,091,000 and an average audience of 648,000, as four contestants faced a pressure test set by Kirsten Tibballs to avoid elimination and secure a Top 10 spot. Grace King was unfortunately the contestant sent home.
ABC’s Gruen brought in a national reach of 898,000 and an average audience 626,000, as hosts Wil Anderson and Russel Howcroft turned the tables on the advertising industry with a cheeky “Apple playbook” segment. Christina Aventi, Carolyn Miller and Renata Yannoulis joined the panel for the discussion.
