Travel Guides led entertainment ratings on Monday night, with Nine’s globetrotting comedy landing at third with a Total TV National Reach of 1,747,000 and a Total TV National Average Audience of 1,047,000 as the group touched down in Chile.
The episode took the guides from the bustling cities of Chile out to the icy wilderness of Patagonia, cruising to a glacier before splitting off into more familiar territory. Kevin and Janetta sampled the region’s wines, while the Fren family got up close with the country’s famous pumas. As always, the brutally honest reviews flowed freely, this time from the bottom of the globe.
It was another strong night for Seven, with Farmer Wants A Wife pulling in a national reach of 1,640,000 and an average audience of 918,000 to sit fifth. The episode shook up the format by introducing five new women to the competition, with each farmer’s family and friends handed the choice of which newcomer their farmer would meet on a blind date.
Quiz shows held their own over night with Nine’s Tipping Point Australia coming in sixth with a national reach of 1,639,000 and an average audience 908,000, while Seven’s The Chase Australia wasn’t far behind in seventh with a national reach of 1,515,000 and an average audience of 784,000.
Over on Ten, MasterChef Australia continued its run inside the top 15 with a national reach of 1,165,000 and an average audience of 693,000, while Have You Been Paying Attention? topped Ten’s night with a national reach of 1,181,000 and an average audience of 727,000.
SBS’s FIFA World Cup coverage was again a strong performer across the night, with New Zealand v Egypt boasting a national reach of 1,124,000 and an average audience of 567,000, while Uruguay v Cape Verde had a national reach of 999,000 and an average audience of 418,000.
