From its base in Sydney’s south, indie digital agency Vonnimedia put in a strong performance in 2025 including some exciting work overseas.
It has been four years since founders Veronica Cremen and Sam Boardman launched the business and the team has grown to 12 people.
The agency picked up 15 new clients across a variety of scopes of work, including a three-year partnership with Henkel.
However, it did lose seven client accounts in 2025, including two who decided to bring their media operations in-house.
The business has also sought to make more of AI to improve client outcomes. For instance, it has a fleet of agents checking click-through links on digital ads daily.
Similarly, it has tools that automatically highlight top-performing creative. This knowledge is provided to clients on an ongoing basis, too.
In total, the agency said its forays into AI have allowed it to execute at scale collapse roles that previously required 10 to 15 people into a
single, highly efficient workflow.
AI, of course, is power-hungry. To that end, it has a dedicated operations and AI specialist whose core role is to help the business reduce its power usage and technology expenses. It added that it has also seen fit to jettison its printer(!) in a bid to save paper and power.
Vonnimedia said it has also deepened partnerships with other agencies and “championed” agency villages which allow it, and others, to compete for accounts while retaining their independent status.
Vonnimedia didn’t enter any major industry awards in 2025, but plans to do so in the future.
Critic's Comment
“A decent year of heads-down practice work from Vonnimedia. We’re hoping to see the full fruits of its jamming sessions in 2026.”
