Two more weddings meant MAFS held onto its ratings crown last night, while Australian Survivor’s launched with new host David Genat.
First up was Stephanie and Trump-loving Tyson’s wedding. Based on their pre-wedding interviews with producers you’d assume the experts has formed a match. However, Tyson’s idea of romance? Five kids, a big house and an American flag in the garage. Stephanie’s idea of romance? Not being labelled as “masculine” on her wedding day.
Sparks flew, alarms rang, and somewhere, Brook is thanking her lucky stars the audience has a new trainwreck to watch.
The next wedding went just as well…
Juliette said “yes” to everything, including marrying a man who reckons modelling and quoting Borat is a hobby.
Joel’s vows were equal parts strict Birkenstock law enforcement and “carpet, tiles, wood”.
Can’t forget about a jab or two from Gia. Wouldn’t be MAFS without it.
The show brought in a Total TV national reach of 3,192,000 and a Total TV national average audience of 1,866,000.
Australian Survivor launched on Paramount last night with new host David Genat, known as ‘Golden God’, who caught up with B&T yesterday. The show attracted national reach of 907,000 and an average audience of 464,000.
Its 81,000 streaming viewers was up 28 per cent year-on-year, while the show claimed second spot in its time slot for 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
A repeat of the closing ceremony for Milano Cortina, where Australia’s homegrown athlete’s managed to secure a record-breaking six medals, reached 2,082,000 and an average audience of 359,000.
