With continuous growth across its client portfolio, independent agency The Works has appointed Rachel Solomon as head of broadcast and content production, a newly created role for the business.

Boasting experience across Australia and the UK, Solomon has mastered many elements of the production process throughout her career having worked at agencies such as Whybin TBWA and DDB Sydney across client accounts including David Jones, Tourism New Zealand, McDonald’s and Expedia.

Throughout her eleven-year career Solomon has worked on both sides of the fence, top UK production companies and some world class creative agencies.

Damian Pincus, partner of The Works, said: “From the start of the agency we have always looked for new ways to produce work and Rachel’s diverse approach and advanced skill set continues this legacy. We are thrilled to have her onboard at The Works and look forward to watching her unique creativity and ideation lead the broadcast and content team.”

Solomon added: “I’m really excited to join The Works at such an exciting time. I like the way the agency embraces partnerships and finds new ways to approach production. They have done some amazing work for their clients and have strong budgets that go into making the best piece of content. The latest work for the Optus Olympics sponsorship and the award winning work on Canadian Club, Sea Shepherd and MND are testament to this philosophy.”

As a business and communications specialist I have worked across various brand industries including; travel, high and beverage, fashion, beauty and government industries. My outstanding reputation in the industry has been attained through meticulous dealings, managing clients, sponsors, media, agencies and delivering exemplary campaigns, brand partnership and event concepts. Some of my recent national campaigns include the launch of The Works 'return to work' policy offering $100 per day childcare bonus, the sixth annual Datafication research project and the launch of tech start-up, On Message. My diverse experience has provided me with a wealth of relationships that have been influential in campaigns with General Pants, 2DAY FM, Mamamia Network, The Lifestyle Channel and various others. My creative passion for campaigns and results can be seen through my passion for equality and supporting women in the workplace, launching the 'Unlock your Impossible' campaign with Katherine Sabbath and Nigella Lawson for Business Chicks. The three-day 'Robots Unrivalled' activation for the launch of Contiki's first Japan tour which provided nine sell out shows within 12 minutes with no paid support. I am continuously motivated to learn and challenge myself both professionally and personally to achieve optimum results for clients whilst developing my skills and relationships to further my career.
