Intelligence platform Prophet has made two appointments to its decision science and engineering teams.
Lachie Trembath has joined Prophet as its first-ever senior marketing science partner. Experienced engineer Tong Wang has also joined the business in the newly created senior SysOps engineer role.
In his new role, Trembath will work directly with enterprise customers to help them understand their digital clones, interpret model outputs and turn complex analysis into confident commercial decisions.
Trembath has joined Prophet from Analytic Partners, where he spent nearly four years in marketing science, most recently as a senior marketing science analyst. During his time there, Trembath worked with enterprise organisations to build and apply marketing mix models, helping brands understand the commercial impact of their marketing investment to make more informed decisions.
“Lachie brings deep expertise in marketing effectiveness, econometric modelling and commercial measurement to our team,” said Prophet head of decision science Rachel Scott.
“His appointment strengthens both the technical capability and customer partnership side of our Decision Science division. Our clients increasingly want partners who can help them apply model outputs to real decisions. Lachie has a track record for translating complex modelling into practical business decisions, and significant experience working with large enterprise marketing teams, making him a good fit to support our growing customer base.”
“I’m looking forward to partnering with Prophet customers throughout their decision-making journey, helping them understand how their digital clone works, identify opportunities for optimisation and build confidence in the commercial decisions they make,” said Trembath.
Wang will focus on maintaining and improving Prophet’s cloud infrastructure, including platform reliability and observability, automation and incident response. He will also support Prophet’s multi-region roll-out and the operational controls and security behind its ISO 27001 certification and its SOC 2 Type II audit and compliance program.
Wang has a strong background in cloud infrastructure, platform reliability and automation, having spent nearly a decade working across multi-tenant Kubernetes, cloud migration, deployment automation and incident response. He has had stints at Block, where he was a senior platform engineer (traffic), MYOB as a DevOps engineer and at Design Industries as technical analyst.
“Tong brings extensive experience operating Kubernetes environments at scale, together with an automation-first approach to infrastructure engineering. His background in cloud infrastructure, platform reliability and automation makes him an ideal fit for supporting that growth,” said Prophet head of engineering Matthew Winter.
“I’m excited about the opportunity to join Prophet, particularly as it continues to scale globally. I enjoy building and operating highly available cloud platforms, automating infrastructure and improving operational efficiency. Joining a team solving these challenges at scale aligns with my experience and expertise. I’m looking forward to supporting the wider Prophet engineering team, allowing them to focus on product development, while the platform underneath scales in confidence,” said Wang.
Both appointments are in direct response to Prophet’s 309 per cent growth over the past year, including new enterprise customer partnerships with brands including Endeavour Group and Kraft Heinz.
The appointments are effective immediately.
