On Wednesday night, the inductees to the 2026 B&T Women in Media Awards Power List gathered for an exclusive dinner, presented by TikTok.
From News Australia’s chief revenue officer Lou Barrett, to Titanium Lion-winning CEO of Leo Clare Pickens to Paramount’s Beverley McGarvey, the potency was palpable at Shell House in Sydney’s CBD. Oh to be a fly on the wall. Wait, we were!
The evening kicked off with speeches from Amy Bradshaw, TikTok’s ANZ general manager and Rosie Oakshott, managing partner of B&T and Cairns Crocodiles.
“Tonight, we’re here to celebrate all of you. Each of you running your own businesses, your own teams with your unique values,” Bradshaw said.
“I dare say that none of you got here by fitting into someone else’s mould. You’ve made it big by being unmistakably you, by being bold, perhaps a little unconventional. The best leadership isn’t an impression of leadership, it’s authenticity. The second someone starts performing a version of themselves that isn’t real, we all feel it.”
This year, we refreshed and reinvigorated the format of the Women in Media Power List. Rather than a ranking of women, the list celebrates the community and collective leadership demonstrated by the Power List-ers.
“B&T’s Women in Media is about connecting as many amazing women as possible,” said Oakshott.
“Making this community of leaders stronger and deepening its connections will have a positive impact on our industry as a whole. It’s your collective power, how you influence and shape the future of our industry and pave the way for those coming up.”
