SBS’ world cup coverage snuck into the top 20 shows for Sunday night with the its post-match coverage grabbing 453,000 viewers.
The World Cup coverage has already proved popular for SBS with Australia’s first match on Saturday being the most watched show for the day.
Last night Ten’s reality cooking show MasterChef sat comfortably in the top ten shows coming in seventh with an audience of one million tuning in to see famed chef Marco Pierre, according to OzTam preliminary ratings.
Ten’s repeat episodes of Modern Family also made it into the top 20 with 614,000 viewers for the second episode and 560,000 for the first.
Elementary on Ten also made an appearance in 16th place with 564,000 viewers.
Seven and Nine battled it out for the highest share of free-to-air viewers, however Nine came out 0.3% ahead of Seven.
Nine had a total combined share of 29.8% with its main channel seeing 23.9%. Seven had a share of 29.5% with 22.5% of that going to Seven’s primary station.
Ten came in third with a total share of 19.3% with 14.3% going to the main station.
ABC came fourth with 16.6% as ABC1 saw a share of 12.3%. SBS came fifth with a share of 4.7%, SBS One seeing 3.6%.
