On-time entries for the 2025 B&T Awards close tomorrow!

There’s just 24 hours standing between you and the chance at your name in lights and your agency in the minds of country’s most senior client-side marketers.

Want to know what winning means? Ask Akcelo, B&T’s overall Agency of the Year in 2024.

“Everyone felt so proud,” said Dave Di Veroli, chief strategy officer and a partner in the agency.

“It was a great acknowledgement in our belief in doing something a little bit differently and doing something in a different area was the right call.”

On the night, Akcelo won Experiential Agency of the Year, Independent Agency with more than 50 Employees and the coveted NSW Agency of the Year trophy.

“We reflected on it the week after and we’ve obviously won the emerging agency stuff, then we started winning all the experiential agency stuff, then we were trying to find a way to tell our independent agency story in a really unique way that showed the breadth of what we did,” said CEO Aden Hepburn.

“[Agency of the Year] awards are a big thing for us. They’re the true reflection because they measure your whole company,” he added.

Or ask Born, B&T’s Emerging Agency of the Year in 2024.

“People do care about awards, even if they say they don’t and it’s trendy not to,” said Jenny Lennon, the agency’s co-founder and creative director.

“The amount of outreach we’ve had since that award, clients feel proud to say they’re working with the Emerging Agency of the Year. It clarifies their decision to work with us.”

Since winning, Born has gone on to bigger and better things. It opened an office in Adelaide, has won a host of new clients and brought on more staff.

At the other end of the scale, EssenceMediacom, barely a year into its post-merger adventure, won B&T’s Media Agency of the Year Award.

Since new CEO Pippa Berlocher picked up the trophy at the Hordern Pavilion last year, much has changed for it, too. It’s appeared on B&T’s New Business Winners podium three times, winning the Australian Retirement Trust, Lion and Warner Bros. Discovery’s new streaming service, Max.

Now, we’re not saying all these good things have happened to these agencies because they entered the B&T Awards last year. But they might not have happened if they didn’t. We wouldn’t take that chance…
