Solstice Media has appointed Tom Fitzgerald as its new national marketing manager.
Fitzgerald has been with the company for three years, launching The Post. Prior to this role he worked as senior account manager at TLA Worldwide.
Solstice Media has grown its portfolio significantly over the past 12 months, adding Australian Traveller Media and 7am podcast to its stable of news and lifestyle brands including national news site, The New Daily.
The newly created role will work closely with editorial, digital/product, sales and leadership teams along with external marketing suppliers to build both audience and brand awareness.
It will also focus on promoting the company’s national audience network, One Solstice, as a way for advertisers to buy the scaled Solstice Media audience across all products.
Solstice Media managing director, Paul Hamra said the company was well positioned to offer an alternative to the big media companies, with a focus on quality local independent journalism – in news and lifestyle.
“Tom will be offering this proposition to the market with the aim of growing its subscribers across all titles,” Hamra said.
